Marcus Vallance, CEO
Marcus started his career at the John Lewis Partnership before moving to Safeway and Coca Cola Enterprises. Working in various marketing roles Marcus has gained significant experience within the FMCG sector.
Marcus was the co-founder of SalesOut, a business focused on delivering business intelligence and data analytical services to over 500 FMCG companies.
Steve Collins, Commerical Director
Steve is an expert in data-driven strategies within the FMCG industry. With 20 years experience as a trading director and buying manager for some of the UK’s largest cash and carries, he has an excellent understanding of how wholesalers, FMCG suppliers, independent retailers and foodservice companies operate.
Steve has helped some of the UK’s largest FMCG brands to harness and interpret this data, to understand the strongest parts of the business and where strategies need to be developed to achieve sales, trade marketing and brand management objectives. Steve has very strong innovation skills, and has played a strategic part in publicising the growth of the convenience retailing industry in spite of increasingly tough trading conditions. He continues to apply these skills to introduce new opportunities to this 53,000 strong business market, extending the benefits of data-driven strategies within the FMCG industry.
Previous to SalesOut, Steve spent 12 years as trading director at Nisa-Today’s. Prior to Nisa-Today’s, he was buying manager at Nurdin & Peacock and M6 Cash & Carry.
Andrew Linehan, Commercial Manager
Andrew joined SalesOut during 2010 having had 20 years experience in market research and insight generation in the foodservice. Before joining SalesOut Andrew was senior client manager at Nielsen and also spent 13 years working for Premier Foods.
Andrew is now working with customers Booker and 3663 to help maximise the value of their shipment data, as well as with the UK's largest food brands to help them identify and target sales opportunities in the catering sector.
Catherine Tack, Finance Controller
Cathy joined SalesOut in 2008 bringing over 30 years finance experience gained in both SME and large PLC companies based both in the UK & USA. Cathy started her career in banking before moving into the private sector. Following an 8 year stay in California, USA working for Schlumberger, she returned to the UK to continue gaining significant experience in all areas of both finance and HR.
Cathy manages the 'behind the scenes' areas of finance, HR and office management and is responsible for reporting to Aegis PLC, based in London.
Roger Suddaby, Head of Sales
Roger joined SalesOut in early 2011 to further strengthen the management team and position the business for accelerated growth.
Roger brings significant knowledge and experience to SalesOut having worked for several core FMCG suppliers in senior national account roles prior to leading the Nielsen Foodservice Division for the last 5 years. A regular speaker at UK & European conferences Roger leads a team of highly experienced account managers servicing 500+ existing SalesOut clients.
